A ‘detective for the mind’, Sandra Deeb is passionate about understanding how the brain works. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) at the University of South Australia and Master of Professional Psychology at Western Sydney University.
Before joining Concepts Psychology, Sandra completed a placement at the Infant Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (ICAMHS). Her aim was to optimise the mental health, development and social and emotional wellbeing of children and young people. She also completed a placement at Learning Links, helping children with learning disabilities and difficulties. Sandra has volunteered with the Australian Red Cross and at Birthline.
At Concepts Psychology, Sandra conducts psychological assessments for clients across the lifespan, counselling and services for Out of Home Care clients. She is currently completing training to become a facilitator of the Westmead Feelings Program.
Sandra chose psychology as she enjoys helping her clients understand what is going on and helping them become the best version of themselves. She also finds psychometric and diagnostic assessments fascinating. They provide her with the tools to decipher what issues exist, which leads to an effective treatment plan.
Outside of work, Sandra can be spotted going to the beach or travelling. She also loves spending time with her friends, family, husband and their toy cavoodle, Leo.
